Playa Vista is getting a new campus
From The Real Deal Magazine, April 13, 2016:
Another campus-style development is in the works in Playa Vista, courtesy of NSB Associates.
The development firm filed plans with the city of L.A. last week to build a 250,000-square-foot office space at 12575 West Beatrice Street. The project, on a 3.8-acre property, will also designate 3,146 square feet of space for retail. Currently, the property is home to co-working company CTRL Collective, Urbanize reported.
Records show that the L.A.-based architecture and construction firm Chait & Company will design NSB’s project.
Just one block away, several other office space projects are also in development, including the Brickyard and an additional building at Playa Jefferson.
Earlier this year, Facebook signed a lease at the latter, owned by Vantage Property Investors. Zuckerberg et. al. joins a growing number of tech and ecommerce companies — Google, Yahoo, and the Honest Co. among them — that have relocated to Playa Vista from Santa Monica’s “Silicon Beach.” [Urbanize] – Cathaleen Chen
