EaterLA reports:

Lately, everyone either is or wants to be opening in Venice, and now esteemed fine dining chef Josiah Citrin is getting in on the action. Citrin, lauded for his seasonal French cuisine at Melisse in Santa Monica — which earned two Michelin stars back when the Michelin crew still cared about Los Angeles dining — is working on what he describes as a "fun, casual spot" in Venice. Or, technically, Marina del Rey per the restaurant's physically address. The unnamed eatery replaces Macchi's Bistro at the corner of Washington and Clune, not far from Via Marina. Citrin is looking to open by the end of this year but he's still working with his team to figure out details and such. More to come.
