Polar Pluge Feb 22 in Marina del Rey to benefit Special Olympics

Run, walk, or dance into the chilly waters of Marina "Mother's" Beach in Marina del Rey on February 22 to raise funds for Special Olympics Southern California. For just a minimum of $50, you can participate in the coolest event of 2014 — the Polar Plunge. Not only will you brave the cold waters, but you'll have the opportunity to earn incentives, party with friends, and support Special Olympics.

Event Information

The Polar Plunge is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations, and anyone to support people with intellectual disabilities by running (or pretending to jump) into the chilly waters at Marina "Mother's" Beach in Marina del Rey.

A few hundred people are expected to weather the cold and plunge into 50 degree waters on February 22, 2014 to support Special Olympics Southern California.

Each participant who raises a minimum of $50 gets a long sleeve shirt and can enjoy the festivities (either by taking the plunge or watching from the "Chicken Coop").

Raise more than $50, and you will have the opportunity to earn cool and fun prizes.
